URGENT APPEAL FOR CEECEE
Can you help me learn to love again?

Beautiful little CeeCee is a very sweet little girl who will show you affection once you’ve gained her trust. CeeCee deserves a loving forever home, and we know there’s one out there for her.

Unfortunately, CeeCee can only stay in the temporary accommodation where she is now for a couple more weeks, and it would be very traumatic for her to be placed back in kennels.

Sadly, this beautiful girl came in frightened and confused due to abuse and cruelty in her past. This has made her extremely fearful, and she’s developed some coping behaviours that are challenging even for experienced hound owners. Ceecee has trouble adjusting to new environments, and this can manifest in setbacks with her toilet training, lots of pacing, standing, and a refusal to settle and sleep for any length of time.

Ideally, we’d like to find her a home with someone who is willing to foster her with a view to adopt and give her a forever home; she’s had far too much upheaval in her life and we’re keen to ensure she doesn’t need to be moved again if possible.

Ceecee needs a very special home. She needs to be placed with someone who is retired and free to dedicate time to her rehabilitation, and who lives in a quiet area where she can go on quiet and uneventful walks. CeeCee cannot live with children or in a busy, noisy household with lots of people coming and going all the time, and she can’t live with any young bouncy dogs.

She will need a home with easy access to a secure garden or courtyard where she can get out frequently to help with her toilet training, and where she potter about on days where she’s too overwhelmed to go out on a walk. We do believe she could live with another dog if they’re old and calm, as this might help her settle and gain some confidence.

We are looking for someone with sighthound experience, ideally someone who’s dealt with dogs who have a history of abuse and extreme fearfulness. She will need a lot of attention and training to settle in and is currently working with our behaviourist to help her overcome some of her fears.

Can you give CeeCee a home?
