Wee cuddle monster extraordinaire!

Lucky is around about one year old and is a gentle, loving boy but with all the energy that comes with being still a puppy. He was found in a heartbreaking state and has made great progress in kennels and then in foster care. His upbeat personality is a joy and works in counterbalance with his cuddly, affectionate nature as he uses every human he sees as his own personal mattress.

Lucky can be a little bit distracted while out walking and, for this reason, he would benefit from a more experienced sighthound paw-rent who can help direct his enthusiasm for everything and everyone, and stop him from getting too overexcited. As far as his fosterers can tell, though, his interest in other dogs comes from a place of intrigue and not from a desire to cause trouble. He responds well to treat-based training as eating is one of his favourite pastimes.

This scallywag of a lurcher can be quite jumpy so it would be worth testing him in any house with children to ensure everyone’s safety but, again, a more loving or affectionate hound you will not find, and his excitability is founded in having just too much love to give that he feels he might explode if he can’t show you.

He is doing very well with his house training and very rarely these days has an accident indoors. This could regress slightly when he is rehomed but given how quickly he has come to understand that outside is just one giant toilet bowl, we’re sure he’ll adapt again quickly.

Sadly, Lucky was found by a dog warden in a terrible state, so he’s undergoing treatments for skin irritations. The vet has advised that his neutering should wait until his skin condition has cleared up. GAL will continue to pay for his vet bills for clearing up his skin irritations and also for his neutering, which will be a condition of his adoption.

Lucky is beautiful, loving, kind, caring, affectionate, rarely naughty, curious, cuddly and brave. So what possible excuse could you have for not adopting him?
